Scottie Scheffler Wins FedEx Cup and PGA TOUR Championship

A Historic Victory for Scottie Scheffler

Scottie Scheffler capped off an incredible season by winning the FedEx Cup and PGA TOUR Championship. The young American golfer dominated the field at East Lake Golf Club, shooting a final-round 66 to secure his first FedEx Cup title. He also won the $18 million bonus that comes with the victory.

Scheffler's victory was a culmination of a season that saw him win four PGA TOUR events, including the Masters Tournament. He also spent a record 30 weeks as the world's No. 1 golfer.

A Dominant Performance at East Lake

Scheffler entered the PGA TOUR Championship with a two-shot lead over Xander Schauffele. He extended his lead to four shots after the first round and never looked back.

Scheffler played consistently throughout the tournament, making just one bogey over the first three rounds. He birdied the 16th hole in the final round to seal the victory.

Schauffele Finishes Runner-Up

Xander Schauffele finished runner-up to Scheffler, one shot behind. Schauffele played well throughout the tournament, but he couldn't quite match Scheffler's consistency.

Schauffele's runner-up finish was his best result in the FedEx Cup playoffs. He has now finished in the top 10 in the playoffs three times.

  • Patrick Cantlay: T3 (-11)
