CUPERTINO, Calif. -- Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) today announced financial results for its fiscal 2023 second quarter ended December 31, 2022.
The Company posted record revenue of $90.1 billion for the September quarter, up 8% year-over-year. Quarterly earnings per diluted share were $1.29, up 11% year-over-year.
"We are pleased to report a strong September quarter, with record revenue and earnings per share," said Tim Cook, Apple's CEO. "Our continued focus on innovation and execution is driving strong results across all of our product categories and geographic segments."
Apple's total revenue for the first six months of fiscal 2023 was $205.5 billion, up 6% year-over-year. The Company's net income for the first six months of fiscal 2023 was $54.4 billion, up 10% year-over-year.
Apple's balance sheet remains strong, with cash and cash equivalents of $41.1 billion as of December 31, 2022. The Company's total debt was $122.3 billion, up from $103.9 billion at the end of March 2023.
