The Minnesota Timberwolves are an American professional basketball team based in Minneapolis. The Timberwolves compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league's Western Conference Northwest Division. The team was founded in 1989 as an expansion team and played its first season in 1989–90. The Timberwolves have won only one playoff series in their history, in 2004.
The Timberwolves' current roster includes a number of talented players, including Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards, and D'Angelo Russell. The team is coached by Chris Finch.
